Frequently Asked Questions
-
What services do you offer?
I provide both in-person and online therapy for adults, teenagers, and children virtually on a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. I also currently offer virtual group therapy based on mindfulness and compassion in the Digital Age. I offer consultation services for individuals looking to explore spirituality or ideas for growing their business organically.
-
How does it work?
We’ll start with a 15-minute phone consultation to explore our fit in working together. Following the consultation, if we find we’re a good fit in working together, we’ll work through an insurance eligibility verification or set a price for out-of-pocket payment.
-
What are your specialties?
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety from a trauma-informed lens. As a former yoga instructor, I specialize in mindfulness, mind-body techniques, and mindful compassion. I use a trauma-informed lens in treating individuals. I take into consideration the current digital age as well as the COVID-19 health emergency and it’s impact. Some of the many modalities I use include CBT, somatic body-awareness, DBT for emotion regulation and self-soothing, and experiential through writing, coloring, drawing, and coping through movement.
-
How much does it cost?
My standard rate for an intake/first session or 45 minute session is $150, and 45 minute sessions are $110. I also accept major credit/debit cards, and FSA/HSA cards.
-
Will my insurance cover therapy?
I do accept most major insurance plans (Aetna, Optum, United Behavioral Health, United Health Care UHC, UMR, Oxford, Oscar, Harvard Pilgrim, Cigna, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ). Most insurance companies cover mental health treatment, but benefits vary by insurance plan. I will provide you a link to input your insurance information after the consultation, where you’ll receive the price estimate of your co-pay cost per session. You should also call the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire as well. If I am out of network with your insurance company, superbills/receipts will be provided so that you can seek reimbursement from your insurance. Please inquire directly with your insurance company about whether or not you have out-of-network benefits.

What if I can't afford it or I want to explore other therapists?
I’m a firm believer that one size does not fit all. Some additional resources for finding a therapist that might be the right fit include websites such as Alma, Headway, Psychology Today, Mental Health Match. If you need help or are in crisis, call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.og.
